KOI, the eSports team of Ibai Llanos and Gerard Piqué, has announced its entry into the Fortnite competitive scene, thus expanding its presence in the world of video games. This announcement follows KOI's recent merger with MAD Lions and Movistar Riders earlier this year, allowing the club to diversify into various disciplines. This agreement has solidified KOI's position as a top-tier eSports club, now competing in prominent titles such as Counter-Strike 2, Pokémon, League of Legends and Valorant Women's.
Ibai Llanos, co-founder of KOI, confirmed in a live stream on his Twitch channel that the team will begin competing in Fortnite, one of the most popular video games of the last decade. "Fortnite, a game that KOI is going to be participating in soon, is going to be a game that KOI is going to be involved in," Ibai said, underlining the club's commitment to getting involved in this new competitive arena.
To celebrate this new foray, Ibai Llanos has announced a special Fortnite event on his Twitch channel, in collaboration with Suja, which will be held this Saturday, May 25 at 22:00. This event will allow fans to see their idols in action and participate in special in-game activities, providing a unique and exciting experience.
