In the iconic Liberty City GTA 3the streets , initially seemed too clean for the development team. That is why, one of the designers decided to add a detail, realistic garbage. This small touch was a rectangle that was similar to newspapers and leaves moving with the wind. However, not all in Rockstar agreed with this addition.

The animation of the waste involved several elements: movements depending on the wind, rotation, and small jumps. Even, in a mission Vice City (Dildo Dodo), the wheels of promotion were replacing the textures of the trash, adding an extra realism to the game.

Despite this detail, some members of the team were not convinced and, finally, the garbage was removed in GTA: San Andreas. However, his legacy is maintained when the code is reused in Manhuntanother title developed by Rockstar.

For the fans of the game who love to discover curiosities of development, this small detail shows the level of dedication of the team of Rockstar to create worlds and immersive, although not all of the elements came to see the light in titles later.
