The first municipal league e-sports
During the opening ceremony, the mayor announced the launch of the first municipal league e-sports in Valencia, in the neighborhoods and districts of the city, they will compete in organized tournaments. “Valencia will be held for the first time a municipal league e-sports in which the different districts will compete, with the end that will generate a competition vibrant in the city,” he explained Catalá. The promotion of equality and the presence of women in the sector
One of the highlights of the speech of the mayor was its focus on gender equality within the video game industry. Catalá highlighted the 48% of people working in this sector in the Valencian Community are women, a figure that reflects the growing presence of women in a field that has historically been dominated by men.
